This International Standard specifies the procedure to be followed by the purchaser at his acceptance inspection in order to decide whether a lot of fasteners may be accepted or rejected, when no other acceptance procedure has been agreed with the supplier at the time of ordering the fasteners. Additional specific acceptability requirements may be included within a specific product standard (for example, prevailing torque type nuts). The procedure is also to be applied when conformance to specification is disputed.
