This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the speeds and feeds of machine tools. However, the following cases are excluded. (1) Where the motor shaft is used as it stands as the main spindle. (2) Where a certain kind of pole-change motor is used. (3) In the case of variable speed change. (4) Where it is suitable to change the feed to follow an arithmetical series. (5) Other cases where the application of this standard is remarkably unsuitable from the technical viewpoint.
