This Japanese Industrial Standard provides the general rules governing safeguarding apparatus and safeguarding measures to be applied to the machine tools and machining operations. However, the rules which are govered by the national regulations are excluded from this standard. The machines which are to be held in hands or fixed in a magnet stand during operation are to be covered by this standard.
