This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the biological microscope objectives of nominal numerical aperture 0.08 or over to be used for the biological microscopes which use test specimens having the cover glass of 0.17 mm in thickness. However, this Standard does not apply to the immersion objectives of less than 90 in nominal magnification and those of special construction.
