This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the general requirements common to various rotating electrical machines, hereinafter referred to as the \"rotating machines\". A rotating machine is as electrical machine which has a rotating member and depending on electromagnetic induction, generates, converts or transforms electrical energy (including reactive power), or converts electrical energy into mechanical energy.
