This Japanese Industrial Standard covers series reactors(hereafter referred to as the \"reactors\") that are intended to reduce the waveform distortion of circuit voltage, as well as, to suppress the rush current at closing of capacitors or capacitor banks (hereafter referred to as the \"capacitors\") inserted in series with high voltage or extra-high voltage power capacitors, which are specified in JIS C 4902 for use in circuits of a.c. 3300 v or more for purposes of power-factor improvement.
