Discharge coils for high voltage power capacitors

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the discharge coils that are normally connected to a high voltage on extra high voltage phase-advancing capacitors specified in JIS C 4902 or the capacitor banks which are used, being connected parallel to the load, in a circuit of a transmission and distribution system not less than a.c. 3300 V for the purpose of power factor improvement and voltage regulation, and that are intended to discharge, in a short time, the residual electric charge when the capacitors are cut out from the circuit.
