This Standard is a sectional specification associated with the generic specification JIS C 5101-1, and applicable to fixed capacitors of ceramic dielectric (dielectric class 1), intended for use as temperature compensation in electronic equipment. This Standard covers leadless capacitors but does not cover multilayer ceramic chip capacitors, which are covered by JIS C 6429.
