This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies based on JIS C 5140, the polar type fixed tantalum solid electrolytic chip capacitors which employ tantalum oxide films as the dielectrics and for use mainly in electronic equipment d.c. cirrcuits, hereinafter referred to as the \"capacitors\".
