This Japanese Industrial Standard is the generic specification of potentiometers used mainly for electronic equipment (hereafter referred to as \"resistors\") and specifies the matters common to resistors, basis of items to be specified in the spectional specification of resistors (hereafter referred to as \"sectional specification\") and in the detail specification of resistors (hereafter referred to as \"detail specification\").
