This Standard specifies optical fiber ribbon cords which are used for the connection, internal wiring, etc. of fiber optic transmission equipment and are so structured that the tensile strength member is applied on the optical fiber ribbon and a compound mainly composed of PVC resin is applied thereon as the sheath.
