Significance test of difference between the two population means (standard deviations unknown, two-sided)
English

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the significance test method to determine whether it can be said that there exists a difference between two population means, on the basis of the measured values obtained from each population (or, from a lot considered to be a good representative of the population), when the standard deviations of the two populations are unknown. (Standard deviations of populations unknown, two-sided test). The text of this standard prescribes the significance test method to be used only when two sets of samples are equal in size, and the same. If otherwise, refer to Reference appended to the end of this standard.
