Interval estimation of the population variance ratio

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the method to obtain the interval which includes the ratio of one population variance to the other with a given probability, 95 % for example, on the basis of the measured values obtained from the populations (or from the lots that are considred to represent them well). The text of this standard describes the estimation method for the case where two sets of samples are equal in size, and that for the case where they are unequal are given in Reference appended to this standard.
