This specification covers one type of rotary ammunition drum assembly for use on the M28A1 Helicopter Armament Subsystem. The rotary drum assembly can be used for either right-hand or left-hand mounting and shall consist of an inner and outer drum, gear reduction drive, rounds counter switch, last round switch, and exit chute for supplying 7.62mm ammunition to the M134 Machine Gun (GAU-2B/A).
