This specification covers a 4-inch, lightweight, smooth-bore, potable water discharge hose, suitable for use within a temperature range of -25 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit (Deg. F), furnished with couplings and a hose support ring. The hoses and couplings are intended for use as components of a 10,000-foot ship-to-shore buoyant potable water supply system. Storage of the hoses, while not in use, will be in a collapsed state on ship mounted hosereels exposed to weather.
