Covers a handsplicing tape. Suitable for use at temperatures from -55 deg to +60 deg C (-67 deg to +140 deg F). When applied, forms a homogenous insulation. Self-fusion is accomplished without the addition of an adhesive.

This specification covers a hand-splicing, self-fusing, electrical insulation tape for use in electronic, communications, and allied equipment. The tape is suitable for use at temperatures from ---55 degrees to +60 degrees C (----67 degrees to 140 degrees F), and when applied, forms a homogeneous insulation. Self-fusion is accomplished without the addition of an adhesive to any surface of the tape. (See 6.1 and 6.1.1)
