This specification covers the requirements for a soft magnetic nickel alloy, shielding grade, that can be cold formed and heat treated to develop high permeabilities at a low magnetizing forces. The alloy shall be composed of approximately 80 percent nickel, 16 percent iron and 4 percent molybdenum.
