Gives information about the basic equipment function, application and common methods of operation so that the propagation of errors can be more widely understood. It also provides brief descriptions of the pertinent factors used to estimate the total uncertainty when using a DPG to perform a measurement (of either pressure or effective area) in accordance with the methods described in the scope of this document.
