Gives guidance in the selection of laboratory environments suitable for standards maintenance and calibration operations. It is intended not to mandate a specific environment for a specific calibration, but to direct selection of the environment and to offer some suggestions on how to extend precision in an existing or achievable (practical) environment. Although this document pertains specifically to standards laboratories, it can be applied to any laboratory requiring environmental control.
