Defines requirements for approval of welding operators for fusion welding and resistance weld setters for fully mechanized and automatic welding processes of metallic materials. Applies only to welding operators/resistance weld setters responsible for setting and/or adjusting during welding. Applies when the contract or application standard requires approval testing of operators/resistors. Not applicable to welding operators in resistance welding or under hyperbaric conditions.
