Deze norm beschrijft de vervormingsbuigproef voor staalplaat en bandstaal. Indien niets anders is voorgeschreven, wordt de proef bij kamertemperatuur uitgevoerd. De proef wordt toegepast op staalplaat en bandstaal met een nominale dikte van 0,5 tot 3 mm uitgezonderd. Voor dezelfde producten met een nominale dikte van 3 mm en meer geldt Euronorm 6-55.
