De brandwerendheid van de bouwdelen van bouwconstructies kan worden bepaald op basis van de combinatie NVN ENV 1991-2-2 met dit NAD en NEN 6069: 1991, voor de belastingen en NEN 6071 t.m. 6073 voor de rekenkundige bepaling van de brandwerendheid van de in die norm bedoelde constructie. Ook kan NVN ENV 1991-2-2 met dit NAD met het van toepassing zijnde deel Constructieve brandveiligheid van de NVN ENV serie 1991 t/m 1996 en 1999, voor zover voorzien van een NAD, worden gebruikt. In beide gevallen, mag het resultaat geacht worden tenminste ten minste hetzelfde niveau van veiligheid m.b.t. de brandwerendheid te bezitten als ingevolge van 5.3 van NEN 6700 TGB 1990 Algemene basiseisen wordt geeist.
