Applies to end systems involved with operation in the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) environment. Defines a combination of OSI standards for collective provision of the connection-mode Transport System by means of the connection-mode Network Service. Provides the connection-mode Transport Service in end systems attached to any type of subnetwork from where the standardized connection-mode Network service is made available.
