Dieser Teil 2 der Bestimmung gilt für automatische und semiautomatische Laborgeräte für Analysen und andere Zwecke. Automatische und semiautomatische Laborgeräte bestehen aus Einrichtungen oder Systemen zur Messung oder Änderung einer(s) oder mehrerer Eigenschaft(en) oder Parameter(s) von Proben, deren vollständigen Prozesse oder Teilprozesse ohne manuelle Interventionen/Eingriffe erfolgen. Geräte, die Teil eines solchen Systems sind, fallen in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm. Beispiele von Geräten, die in den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm fallen sind Analysengeräte; automatische Verteiler (Pipettiereinrichtung, Probenunterverteilung) und Geräte zur Proben-Replikation und -Amplifikation.
