Diese ÖVE/ÖNORM behandelt die Besonderheiten für EMV-Prüfungen von Feldgeräten mit Schnittstellen nach IEC 61784-1, CP 3/2. Dieser Teil von IEC 61326 gilt nur für die Feldbus-Schnittstelle des Gerätes. Für die anderen Funktionen des Gerätes gelten andere Teile der Normenreihe IEC 61326. Dieser Teil von IEC 61326 bezieht sich nur auf Feldgeräte der Leittechnik und der Prozess-Messtechnik. Hinsichtlich der Schnittstelle und ihrer Betriebsparameter ist dieser Teil von IEC 61326 in Übereinstimmung mit IEC 61784-1, CP 3/2. IEC 61784-1 legt, basierend auf der Normenreihe IEC 61158, Sätze von protokollspezifischen Kommunikationsprofilen fest. Der Hersteller legt die Umgebung fest, in der der Gebrauch des Gerätes beabsichtigt ist, und/oder wählt aus IEC 61326-1 die zutreffenden Festlegungen für die Prüfpegel.
