Bellcore's view of a general description of Bellcore Technical Auditing, a new form of industry-funded technical analysis which is open to all telecommunications products, processes and services offerings. Audits can result in either distributable or non-distributable Audit Reports at the choice of the supplier. For the distributable audits the supplier may do the report distribution. Audits cover criteria in four major areas: Features, Functions & Performance; Environmental Compatibility; Product Reliability and Quality. The goal of a Technical Audit process is to provide quality telecommunications products, processes and service offerings in a timely manner at a reasonable price to the Bellcore Client Companies (BCCs)
