TA NWT 001087 : ISSUE 2

Proposes extensions to TR-NWT-001087 primarily to allow for the measurement of individual Signaling System 7 (SS7) parameters. TR-NWT-001087 was released in December 1991 to present Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements for CCS network usage measurement functionality at an STP and/or STP adjunct. Because the interconnection of CCS networks has already begun, each BCC has an immediate need to collect usage measurements to capture information about the use of its CCS network by other telecommunications providers & about the BCC's use of other CCS networks. The primary purposes of these usage measurements are preparing invoices to bill the other telecommunications providers & verifying invoices that other providers use to bill the BCC.
