Provides Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements, desired features and characteristics of a pedestal terminal closure, and the performance tests for analyzing these closures. The closures are typically designed with internal facilities to accommodate cable splicing, terminal block mounting arrangements for wire pair terminations, and bonding and grounding hardware. Such closures are intended to provide protection for telecommunications equipment placed in an outside plant environment as well as for the access to them by the craftpersons.
