Provides Telcordia's view of proposed generic requirements for single pair buried distribution wire that is intended for use on both non-gopher and gopher areas to extend the distribution plant to isolated customers in rural areas. It contains two parallel 19 American Wire Gage (AWG) copper conductors appropriately protected for gopher or non-gopher areas. Since the customer may be miles from the feeder/distribution interface, the wire shall have the electrical characteristics of multipair cable.
