It has been written to include multi fiber (ribbon) stripping tools. Provides criteria for analyzing single and multi fiber stripping tools that are used to remove the coating from single and multiple fibers. Includes requirements for the tool, procedures for analyzing the tensile strength of stripped fibers, and environmental tests for simulating field conditions.
