This new self-supported wire is intended for use as an aerial drop wire for extending telephone circuits from a distribution cable terminal to the subscriber's station protector. It contains one to six twisted pairs or four conductors making up a quad of 22 American Wire Gage (AWG) copper conductors. The conductors are located independently of the non-metallic strength members. The conductors and strength members are encased in a single black weather resistance, flexible, polyvinyl chloride (PVC) jacket.
