Presents Bellcore's view of proposed generic requirements applicable to the Line Information Database. The LIDB is a transaction oriented database system capable of storing various line number and special billing number data needed by operator services systems to process and bill calls. Operator services systems query the LIDB to obtain information about the calling, called and billed numbers associated with the calls it handles. This document provides a description of the LIDB records, associated data elements, and query types. In addition, LIDB query processing requirements and LIDB features are described. A Line Information Data Catalog is also included which describes the LIDB data elements required for LIDB processing
