Identifies Bellcore's proposed view of generic technical requirements for Automatic Board to Board testing (ABBT) on POTS lines. ABBT is performed prior to the transfer of a number of existing analog lines from one switching system to another and uses the capabilities of the new system to perform these tests with minimal effort and disturbance to customer lines. This document provides Bellcore's view of generic requirements and objectives for the ABBT feature and related capabilities of the switching system.
