Describes Bellcore's view of proposed generic criteria for fuseless-type protectors intended for terminating one or two pairs of outside plant conductors at a customer station. The protectors described in this document consist of an insulated base on which are mounted all current-carrying parts, including protector units and wire terminals. It does not include the following types of customer station protectors: those that contain fuses, those that contain three-element gas tubes, those that are intended to terminate more than two pairs of outside plant conductors, and those that are provided with stub cables for connection with either outside plant or station wiring.
