Describes Bellcore's view of the data record format to provide MDR data from switching systems. The basic source of the MDR data for a call is the AMA data record that is generated for billing the call. However, since the AMA data record does not contain all of the data that the customer desires for MDR purposes, data modules are added to the AMA data record to convey that additional information. This FSD defines those modules. In addition, for those calls where AMA data is not required, i.e. for calls via private facilities such as tie trunks or FX lines, MDR data may be required to provide to the customer usage data for these calls. This FSD will also describe how to record the MDR data record for this usage information.
