Provides the definition for the term extender and defines test procedures required for most of the subsequent parts of ISO 3262. These subsequent parts define requirements and corresponding test procedures for extenders to be used in paints and related coating materials. In addition, they may be suited to the various materials described by the standard when used for other applications.
