This Standard specifies the requirements for insulation control devices which, regardless of the measurement method, continuously monitor the insulation resistance to earth of the following IT systems: - non-earthed AC systems with voltages up to 1000 V AC; - AC systems with galvanically connected DC circuits and voltages up to 1000 V AC; - Non-grounded DC systems with voltages up to 1500 V DC This Standard must be read in conjunction with EN 61557-1, which provides the general requirements.
