Proposes the revision of AS 3947.4.1-1995 as a Joint Australian/New Zealand Standard by the adoption of IEC 60947-4-1:2000 which specifies requirements for electromechanical contactors and motor-starters. Applies to a.c. and d.c. contactors and a.c. motor-starters whose main contacts are intended to be connected to circuits, the rated voltage of which does not exceed 1000 V a.c. or 1500 V d.c.
