This CID covers emergency and auxiliary light sets powered by either a 6 or 12-volt rechargeable battery. The light sets are not intended for use in hazardous locations as defined in article 500 of NFPA 70. The light sets shall be designed to operate on a single phase power souce of either 120 or 277 volts ac, 60Hz, as specified (see 7.2).
