Applies to all slit tape and monofilament postextrusion equipment, including quench tanks, slitting stands, ovens, draw rolls, delustering rolls and yarn or thread winders, and excluding extruders, screen changers and dies. It establishes safety requirements for the construction, care, and use of such equipment but excludes typical slit and trim operations in film and sheet processes.
