This Standard specifies sterilization-related performance requirements to be considered in the selection of packaging materials and packages intended for sterilization. Packaging materials for pharmaceutical goods are not covered by this Standard.NOTE: This Standard is not a code of sterilization practice. Furthermore, packaging materials may additionally be subject to the requirements of other relevant parts of AS 1079 (see Preface).
