1.2 The definitions listed apply to (a) Auger electron spectroscopy (AES), (b) X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), (c) ion-scattering spectroscopy (ISS), (d) secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS), and (e) energetic ion analysis (EIA).
