1.1This accelerated test method is used to determine the relative resistance of steel pipeline coatings to penetration or deformation by a blunt rod under a specified load. The test method is intended to apply to the testing of all types of nonmetallic pipeline coatings subjected to various temperatures.

1.2The values stated in SI units to three significant decimals are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
