In accordance with the CENELEC Harmonisation Document HD 466.6 S1, contextual to the IEC 489-6 Publication (1987), the Standard deals specifically with receivers in mobile radiocommunication services, whose acoustic frequency bandwidth generally does not exceed 10 kHz, intended for the reception of voice frequency signals or signals of other types, using angular modulation (phase or frequency type G or F) or double sideband amplitude modulation with full carrier (type A) or single sideband amplitude modulation with complete, reduced or suppressed carrier (type H, J or R).
