Specifies requirements for access covers and grates for use in vehicular and pedestrian areas. It applies particularly to components manufactured from grey and ductile irons and cast and manufactured steels; however it does not preclude the use of other materials. It applies to access covers and grates having clear openings ranging from 100 mm to 1300 mm. It is intended for use by designers, purchasers, manufacturers and installers of access covers and grates.
