This Japanese Industrial Standard applies to interchangeable incandescent lamps and halogen lamps to be used in headlamps, fog-lamps and signalling lamps for road vehicles and discharge lamps, and specifies the methods of test and the technical requirements of basic interchangeability (dimensional, electrical and luminous).
