This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies requirements for sterilized central venous catheters which are intended for single use for the purpose of injecting drug solution, collecting blood and/or measuring venous pressure, etc., and guide wire, dilator, introducer needle, introducer tube and sheath introducer which are used for insertion and placement of catheters.
