Describes a minimum number of unit-load and transport-package sizes, that will efficiently utilize the available area of the international general-purpose freight containers, domestic closed trailer trucks, and domestic railroad boxcars. Also provides criteria for the selection of overall width and length of filled transport-packages that can be used with one or more of the five unit-load sizes covered in the standard.
