Bei der Dichtheitsprüfung und Lecksuche gibt es, im Unterschied zu anderen Mess- und Prüfverfahren, eine Besonderheit: Die Negativaussage 'keine messbare Anzeige gesehen' ist eigentlich eine positive Aussage, die gleichbedeutend mit 'dicht = gut' ist. Wie überall in der Technik müssen so gewonnene Aussagen vermieden werden, denn 'keine Anzeige' kann auch 'Fehlfunktion des Gerätes' bedeuten.
