About Energy Networks Australia

Energy Networks Australia (ENA), formerly known as the Energy Networks Association, is the peak national industry body representing gas and electricity distribution businesses. ENA provides a single reference point for major energy network issues in Australia.


The organisation works with governments, policy makers, networks, regulators and industry partners to develop research, offer advice and define relevant energy Standards. The body provides expertise on a range of operational and technical issues, including network safety, management of peak energy demand, energy efficiency, sustainable energy, and security and reliability of supply.
